Teams
As a freelancer I’ve had the opportunity to meet many different teams along the way. Whether it’s joining a production company like Lone Wolf Media for several months to help deliver a season of reality tv or getting hired by the awesome crew at P3 for a one-day shoot, I love to join the group and get a feel for the dynamics they’ve developed. It’s a fun puzzle to figure out how I can best complement those with my work. That might sound like a weird thing to find fun but I got it from my dad, he’s a retired engineer.
I wasn’t always good at joining new teams, I’ve just had a lot of practice. Meeting new groups in a production environment can be intimidating and a challenge. Getting a new freelance gig can be like getting a new job; like, several a week. The chance to ‘see the world’, though, even in a small area from being invited into the houses of new clients and groups is an honor and a thrill.
